Sturdy Memorial will be holding an American Red Cross Blood Drive. Each donation you make can treat up to three people and will help to alleviate the region’s seasonal blood shortage. According to the Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood, yet only five percent of the eligible population donates in any given year. Blood is needed for emergencies and for people who have cancer, blood disorders, sickle cell, anemia, and other illnesses, as well as those who need regular blood transfusions to live.
